Education Week 2018
Education Week is an opportunity to reflect on the value of education, the importance of teaching and learning, and its contribution to the development of individuals and societies.
This year’s theme is “Believe and Achieve – Je crois en moi, je réussis!”
“As a faculty, we endeavour to help our students to achieve their goals and to deliver programs that are creative, innovative and provide exceptional learning opportunities for all our students,” said Dr. Kirk Anderson, dean of the Faculty of Education.
“In age of reconciliation, we take particular pride in our continuous efforts to improve educational programming and relationships with Indigenous peoples in Newfoundland and Labrador.
“We are a multi-campus faculty – offering education programs in St. John’s, Corner Brook, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and Harlow, England. It is our privilege to prepare teachers for the entire province, and to provide a range of programs responding to the aspirations of educators.”
The Faculty of Education congratulates the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association on Education Week, 2018.
