Guidelines for employees

A density calculator is available online to determine the capacity of on-campus spaces. Currently this is at normal density based on firecode. The calculator will be adjusted in the event Memorial moves up in risk levels.

All employees are expected to review the health and safety moment, complete Memorial’s COVID-19 awareness session. Also, please reference this employee checklist.

Employees should follow public health guidelines and posted signage including physical distancing, hand washing and staying home when sick. Masks are required. A daily COVID-19 self-assessment check is available online and in the MUN Safe app

Empathy  is crucial. This situation is not easy for everyone. Anxiety and uncertainty are natural reactions for some employees at this time. Supports and resources are available for employees from Human Resources and/or the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Parking

Parking permits on the St. John’s and Signal Hill campuses began renewals on July 5 and were effective Sept. 1. The cost will be prorated for the remainder of the year. Permits are required in parking areas 60, 30, 27, 1, 25, 28, 20 and 4 on the St. John’s campus, but are free of charge until Sept. 1.

Grenfell Campus permit renewals are available for purchase through the Grenfell Campus Bookstore. Marine Institute permit renewals began on July 13 through the Marine Institute Cashier’s Office.

Please note, guests should still use the Passport parking app for events and refunds are only for permits, not for event parking.
