1.Apply to Graduate
Graduation starts with a formal application.
In order to graduate, you must first apply to graduate regardless of whether you plan to attend convocation. Log onto Memorial Self Service to fill out the application for graduation. The deadline to apply to graduate is Monday, July 15, 2019.
2. Find your ceremony
Please note that there will no longer be a fall convocation ceremony in Corner Brook. The next convocation ceremony in Corner Brook will be on May 14, 2020. Grenfell students who finish their program requirements by August 2019 should apply to graduate. Students will automatically be assigned to fall convocation in St. John’s, however students wishing to attend the Corner Brook campus ceremony in May 2020 must email firstname.lastname@example.org by September 30, 2019. Also, note that all eligible candidates for graduation will be awarded their degree and issued their gradation parchment either during the Fall 2019 convocation ceremonies in St. John’s or by mail (one week after the scheduled convocation ceremony). Students can still opt to participate ceremonially in Corner Brook in May 2020.
The dates for online registration for Corner Brook convocation will be posted here.
Register to attend your convocation ceremony via Memorial Self Service. Even if you don't plan to attend, please go online so arrangements can be made to send your parchment to you.
At the same time, book your academic dress rental and reserve guest tickets.
Students with pending status are encouraged to register as it will guarantee your guest tickets.
4. Arrange special need requirements
Students and guests requesting special accomodations should contact Marketing, Communications and Advancement at 639-6541, or e-mail email@example.com.
5. Prepare your family and guests
Share the details with your family and friends who will be joining you on your graduation day so they will know what to expect. Visit the Family section for more details.
