Grade 7 Program:
Come explore our boreal forest! Your students will investigate different ecosystems, succession and examine different areas to see if they can hypothesize which area might have been affected by disasters. We will also discuss producers, consumers and decomposers in the food web.
Grade 8 Program:
This program offers students the opportunity to deepen their learning about the water cycle, watersheds, and water quality while exploring the forest at the Botanical Garden, which is abundant with water ecosystems. They will experience wetlands first hand and come to understand how these wetlands are interconnected to surrounding waterways and add so much value to our city. The program is active, outdoors, hands-on, and includes opportunities for practicing and reviewing their newly gained knowledge.
