Eileen St. Croix, BMS'74, MD'75
Dr. Eileen St. Croix is a well-known leader in rural, emergency, and family medicine, oncology and palliative care. Dr. St. Croix practiced in Bonavista, Stephenville, Twillingate and Gander with over 40 years of dedication to rural communities. Prior to retirement in 2017, she completed locums in oncology in St. John’s. A graduate of Memorial University Medical School in 1975, she committed her life’s work to improving health care outcomes in Newfoundland and Labrador. Dr. St Croix has always shared her knowledge with students of Memorial including Medical Students, Family Practice Residents and the Nurse Practitioner Students. Dr. St. Croix is grateful for the education she received at Memorial and is anxious to make a continued contribution through election to the Board of Regents. Dr. St Croix has a passion for learning and a desire to stay involved in the medical community. Willing to take a leadership role to help others is one of her life values. Eileen has been an unwavering volunteer as a member of Kiwanis. She served as President of the Gander Club for two years and Lieutenant Governor for Newfoundland for two years. She is Divisional Co Chair of the ELIMINATE project for Kiwanis International and a Travelling Volunteer with Sleeping Children Around the World. Dr. St Croix and husband Lloyd White enjoy travelling and meeting new challenges. Eileen and Lloyd are avid gardeners and dog lovers. Dr. Eileen St. Croix respectfully submits her name to forward her expertise to Memorial University’s Board of Regents.
