Post-Award Administration

After a research account has been opened, researchers are able to access their funding and begin their research. From this point on, responsiblity for administration is generally shared between the department and the researcher. 

At the departmental level, activities include expenditure processing, financial reporting to sponsors and hiring (with Human Resources). 

Researchers are responsible for authorizing expenditures and for providing progress reports and deliverables that may be required by the funding agency.
