Our Work Control Centre is your first contact for customer service, requests for maintenance and cleaning services, and reporting hazardous conditions on campus.

Outside of regular working hours, weekends, and holidays  

If the issue is urgent, call 864-7600. You will reach staff at the Utilities Annex who will dispatch after hours staff if required. If the issue is not urgent, please call during regular working hours.

For Grenfell Campus members who have a maintenance problem, please note that a detailed email must be sent describing the problem. It will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Hazards in your own department?

If the hazard you wish to correct arises from activities in your own department, the first person to speak with is your supervisor. He or she is responsible for ensuring that you are able to conduct your work safely. If this does not work, try speaking with a representative on your departmental health and safety committee or your building occupational health and safety committee.

Need first aid supplies?

Check your first aid kit frequently to make sure it contains everything it is supposed to. The NL First Aid Regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act outlines the list of the minimum contents for a first-aid kit. Please note the following requiremetns for workplaces in NL.

#1 First Aid Kit

Every workplace shall have at least a #1 first aid kit containing supplies as specified in Schedule B of the NL First Aid Regs.

#2 First Aid Kit

Where there are more than one but less than 15 workers at a workplace, that workplace shall have at least a #2 first aid kit containing supplies as specified in Schedule C or the NL First Aid Regs. .

#3 First Aid Kit

Where there are 15 or more but less than 200 workers at a workplace, that workplace shall have at least a #3 first aid kit containing supplies as specified in Schedule D of the NL First Aid Regs.
