Safety training
A variety of safety training and education seminars and courses are available through the Department of Health & Safety.
Ongoing seminars are conducted on topics such as:
- Biohazards - in progress
- DAN 02
- Emergency First Aid - one day - includes CPR
- Ergonomics
- Fire Warden Orientation
- Lifting and Materials Handling
- Standard First Aid - two days - includes CPR
- TDG
- Wilderness & Remote First Aid - 3 days
With a little advance notice, seminars on any health, safety, or environmental topic can be arranged.
ON-LINE TRAINING
- Lab Safety - Staff
- Radiation Safety -Students / Staff
- WHMIS - Staff
To register for these sessions - log into Desire2Learn to complete the on-line form.
- Safety 1000 - Students
To register for these sessions students are required to complete the training registration on MUN's Self Serve for Safety 1000.
Certificates are not provided for on-line training. You can print your on-line transcript for proof of training.
