Academic Advising Sessions
The Academic Advising Centre will offer advising sessions for their Fall 2010 applicants at select locations in the Maritime region. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend an advising session for accurate academic advice to ensure they are on the right track from the start.
Academic advising sessions will be offered during evening hours at the following locations:

Math Placement Test (MPT)
Academic advisers will administer the Math Placement Test (MPT) to applicants in the Maritime region on behalf of the Department of Math and Statistics.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to write the MPT prior to their arrival on campus in September. This can reduce anxiety for applicants whose course selection is significantly dependent on their MPT score. Writing the MPT while in high school ensures that math skills are at their sharpest; this may not be the case at the end of a long summer break. Applicants who do not need math for their proposed degree program should consider writing the test in case they later decide to change to a program which requires math. Writing the MPT prior to arrival on campus will allow students to concentrate on getting accustomed to university life, meeting new people and of course, having fun.
The MPT will be administered during evening hours at the following locations:
|Bridgewater||June 3||7pm - 9pm||Days Inn & Conference Centre [map]|
|Halifax||June 2||7pm - 9pm||Holiday Inn Halifax Harbourview [map]|
|Sydney||May 26||7pm - 9pm||Delta Sydney [map]|
|Truro||June 3||7pm - 9pm||Holiday Inn Truro [map]|
|Windsor||June 3||7pm - 9pm||Super 8 Motel [map]|
|Yarmouth||May 18||7pm - 9pm||Rodd Grand [map]|
