Thesis (working title)
Family-Friendly Workplace Policies and Practices: Implications for the "Work-Family Problem" and Gender Inequality
Research
My Masters research takes a case study approach to exploring the processes and outcomes of family-friendly workplace policy and practices. I am interested in exploring how family-friendly workplace policies and practices are used, managed, and experienced in the workplace; how they address employees' management of work and family; and the implications for gender equality more generally. Given the lack of research on this subject in Newfoundland and Labrador, I am interested in starting the conversation about "family-friendliness."
