Daoism
Daoism is first introduced in survey courses on Asian Religions. Senior courses allow students to read the Laozi and the Zhuangzi. We look at:
- the composition and authorship of the texts
- Daoist critiques of other schools
- Daoist terms and themes
- Daoist critiques of language, civilisation, and artificial thought
- the influence of Daoism on Chinese culture.
