What is your favorite aspect of your profession?

Field work, getting to travel to amazing and varied places (not cities).

What do you consider a career highlight?

Developing an approach to solve for Doppler velocity using multiple frequency data (I don't get out much).

Why did you choose this career?

Adventure, constant change, never boring.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

Rock climbing, bicycling.

What historical figure(s) would you like to have lunch with and why?

Jonathan Swift: anyone who could have the insights into society that the author of Gulliver's Travel had would be truly fascinating to talk to.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Travelling up Jervis Inlet by boat.

What is the one thing you can't live without?

A bicycle.

What's your idea of a good time?

Being in the wilderness in a place where there is no trace of anybody ever having been before.

I like punk rock.
