What is your favorite aspect of your profession?

I love the fact that being curious is an essential part of doing my job well.

If you weren't doing this job, what do you think you'd be doing?

I'd also enjoy a job that would allow me to be outdoors and active.

Why did you choose this career?

I have a passion for science research, and I have great latitude in how I pursue that in my job as a professor.

Fresh bread

What are you reading at the moment?

"The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini

What do you like to do when you are not working?

I try to spend time outdoors, especially running, hiking, or playing sports.

What is the one thing you can't live without?

Music

I've played competetive Ultimate (frisbee) for more than two decades. I've also never owned a car.
