The Canadian Federation of University Women is hosting their annual book sale to help fund their scholarship program. The sale will take place at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. Johns on April 19, 20 and 21.
The CFUW has recently collected more than 30,000 books for the sale, including collectibles, fiction and non-fiction titles, young adult and childrens books. This year they will also feature their largest collection to date of Newfoundland and Labrador books and papers with more than 1,250 titles representing more than 950 authors from current publications to vintage, out-of-print and scarce books.
Most fiction, non-fiction, young adult and children's titles will be priced at $2.00 or less. Others will be priced individually, but reasonably.
A $1 entrance fee to the event is good for three days. Sales will be cash only and the organizers request buyers bring their own bags.
Sale hours are 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 19; 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday, April 20; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.
