REF NO.: 24
|SUBJECT:||Halloween Howl Family Program at Memorial Universitys Boo-tanical Garden|
|DATE:||Sept. 28, 2010|
Did you know that many Halloween traditions and superstitions are connected to nature and the fall season, particularly the harvest?
On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23-24, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day, visit the Boo-tanical Garden for a fun weekend of Halloween arts and crafts, story time and face painting.
Come on a special Halloween nature hike with our education staff and explore the Batty Bat and Halloween Discovery trails. Discover why bats, owls, crows, spiders and even witches brooms are not all that scary once you get to know them.
Free admission for children in costume, Friends of the Garden and Memorial students. Registration is not required. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please contact the garden at 709-864-8590 or visit www.mun.ca/botgarden.
