Sir Wilfred Grenfell College Art Gallery and the Division of Fine Arts are delighted to announce the opening of the eighteenth annual Fourth-year Student Exhibition. The exhibition opens on Saturday, April 18, and continues until Saturday, June 6.
This year’s exhibition will be one of the most comprehensive, including the work of 17 visual arts students. The work covers a broad range of forms and media - new media, installation, video installation, paintings, photography, drawing, sculpture and non-traditional use of textiles - which explore themes as diverse as identity, spirituality, social awareness, and environmental responsibility.
The artists in the exhibition are Gwendolyn Aker, Rachel Anstey, Caleigh Childs, Jonathan Cohlmeyer, Jenny Dweyer, Lenore Gale, Nancy Jacobsen, Charlotte Morgan, Robyn Newhook, Nancy Penton, Debbie Pike, Danielle Reardon, Erika Reid, Katherine Slauenwhite, Lisa Wakeham, Allen Walbourne and Shawna Warmington.
The opening reception takes place from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 18. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
Regular gallery hours are Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, 12-4 p.m.
