SUBJECT: Raising awareness about the health consequences of nuclear war

Dr. Allan Connolly, president of Physicians for Global Survival, will give a lecture on the health consequences of nuclear war, starting at 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 9 in the main auditorium of the Health Sciences Centre. His lecture is part of the activities hosted by the MUN Medical Students' Society and the Division of Community Health featuring the exhibition, Connecting the Dots: Surviving Nuclear War in 2003. The exhibition is a poster and video series from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum of Japan. It will be on display in the Faculty of Medicine foyer Oct. 8-9, on the third floor of the Memorial Student Centre Oct. 10 and in the main foyer of the Leonard A. Miller Centre Oct. 13-14.
