SUBJECT:	Grenfell: The Grenfell Opera Series

The Grenfell Opera Series continues on Sunday, Feb. 1, 7 p.m., FC2014, with the showing of Sadko, by the Russian composer Nicolas Rimsky-Korsakov. Considered to be one of his greatest operas, the work is breathtakingly exotic, colourful, and replete with charming, melodic music. This 19-century opera takes the audience along on the sea-faring adventures of the hero Sadko, the fabled minstrel from the Russian city of Novgorod. It promises to be a real tour de force!
Ms. Elinor Benjamin, Corner Brook's accomplished storyteller, will give an introduction. Refreshments will be served during intermission.
