SUBJECT:	A public lecture by Captain John Vanthiel of the Canadian Coast Guard

In recognition of the International Polar Year, the Johnson GEO CENTRE is pleased to present a public lecture by Capt. John Vanthiel of the Canadian Coast Guard. Our Arctic Voyage – On Top of the World with the Canadian Coast Guard will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

You’ll be captivated by Capt. Vanthiel’s knowledge, photographs and anecdotes from the CCGS Henry Larsen’s voyage to the North. This event is open to the general public and admission is free. Cash bar to follow. This lecture is supported by Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region.
