SUBJECT:	Celebrating SIFE Memorial’s world championship

Memorial University is celebrating the world champion SIFE Memorial team with a special event on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Senior administration, government representatives, sponsors and invited guests will be on hand to view the final performance of the World Cup presentation.

On Oct. 3, 2008, the SIFE Memorial team, representing Canada in the Students in Free Enterprise World Cup, emerged victorious after winning regional, national and international competitions on the strength of their programs. This accomplishment places Memorial first out of more than 1500 competing university and college campuses worldwide.

The SIFE Memorial presentation highlights the impact the team has had on their community in the last year. Using the positive power of business, SIFE Memorial has reinvested more than 1.4 million dollars in the province and affected thousands of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

The showcase and reception in honor of SIFE Memorial takes place Tuesday, Oct. 28, 5:30 – 7 p.m., in room 2001 of the Inco Innovation Centre.
