|DATE:||April 27, 2007|
Correction to previous release, Ref. No. 165.
Memorial University’s Division of Lifelong Learning is partnering with LearnKey, a leading provider of Expert e-learning. Beginning on May 1, Memorial University’s Lifelong Learning division is making a complete library of media-rich personal and professional development courses from LearnKey available online. Courses range from computer basics for beginners to advanced studies in information technology to negotiation and team building. The courses are accessible from the comfort of your own home, place of business or anywhere one has access to the internet.
For nearly two decades, LearnKey training has helped thousands of individuals gain certification, improve job performance and achieve career goals. “Our approach is unique because our experts offer a classroom-like experience with an instructor that provides not only the technical expertise, but also the relevance of the how and why of the software. LearnKey designs its e-learning to engage the student,” said Will McGarvey, president, ShadowBox Learning Services Inc. “The principle is the same for e-learning as it is for any successful learning program. Make the course interesting and enjoyable and the student learns. LearnKey takes pride in producing courseware that gives excellent results and is appreciated by students the world over.”
“Our courseware provides a comprehensive agenda, rich with activity,” Mr. McGarvey said. “Our pre-test helps identify skill- gaps and proceeds to in-depth sessions and interactive labs. A post-course test measures what one has learned. Self-paced learning gives the control to speed through the course or review each concept until one is confident in their understanding.”
LearnKey offers a wide variety of courses including IT certification, security, professional development, project management, office skills, graphics and web design.
Course information and registration services are available through the Division of Lifelong Learning’s website: www.mun.ca/lifelonglearning (follow the LearnKey Courses link under Highlights).
