A unique educational outreach program that aims to get young minds hooked on science is seeking new volunteers from Memorial University. The Let’s Talk Science Partnership Program, co-ordinated by Memorial students, encourages graduate and senior undergraduate students to get involved and help bring science to life. Volunteers will be trained to go into classrooms to work with teachers and students while providing innovative hands-on science activities. A training session for new volunteers will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Beatrice Watts Boardroom in the Inco Innovation Centre on Memorial’s St. John’s campus. Those interested in attending should contact Co-ordinator Patti McCarthy at firstname.lastname@example.org
for more information and to reserve a seat.
