SUBJECT: Memorial University partners with international society to honour outstanding local business achievements

Two local businessmen and 38 business students will be inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honour society on Friday, March 14. Miller Ayre, publisher of The Telegram and David Baird, president of Baird and Associates will be inducted as honourary Beta Gamma Sigma members in recognition of the their contributions to the business community. Being inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive at a school accredited by AACSB International-the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Memorial's Faculty of Business Administration achieved this international accreditation in 2002.

The induction ceremony will be held Friday, March 14 at 4:30 p.m. in the Royal Trust Atrium of the Business Administration Building. Media are encouraged to send representatives.
