SUBJECT: Moth Madness at Memorial University Botanical Garden
DATE: Sept. 18,2017
Memorial University Botanical Garden is hosting a Moth Madness event taking place on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 8 – 10:00 p.m., at 306 Mount Scio Rd.
Join Dr. Tom Chapman from the Department of Biology and Dr. Carolyn Parsons from the St. John’s Research and Development Centre as they host the pop-up event. The new moon is known to bring out moths, so you’re sure to see a variety!
Attract moths with mercury vapor, UV light traps, wine roping and sugaring. There will be moth sheets set up throughout the garden to allow you to get a great view! A few live-catch setups will be located throughout the garden and will give you an up close and personal view of some moths.
This event is open to the public. Admission fees apply.
