SUBJECT: PSA: Memorial to participate in Canada-wide celebration of science

Discover glow-in-the-dark crystals, watch a chemistry magic show, explore a travelling touch tank, take part in interactive physics demostrations and experience much more at Science Rendezvous 2017.

This free, all-ages and free public event is hosted by the Faculty of Science at Memorial University. It will allow visitors to do fun and safe hands-on science activities on Saturday, May 13, on the St. John’s campus.

Participants include departments in the faculties of Science and Engineering and Applied Science, as well as Let’s Talk Science and Bricks 4 Kidz. Activities will take place in the lobby of the Science, Chemistry-Physics and the Engineering buildings from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Free parking is available in lot 15B.

Science Rendezvous is the kick off to Science Odyssey, 10-days of discovery and innovation taking place across Canada. It strives to highlight the nation’s best and most innovative research while improving student enrolment and public involvement in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
