SUBJECT: Memorial students and alumni invited to Career and Graduate School Fair

DATE: September 27, 2016

Employers, organizations, government agencies and post-secondary institutions from across North America will be at the Field House on Memorial University’s St. John’s campus on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for the 17th annual Career and Graduate School Fair.

The fair is open to all current Memorial students and alumni looking to network with potential employers, searching for career direction or considering furthering their education.

Paula Strickland, manager, career development, says the fair is a networking event designed for students and alumni to make valuable career connections with employers and professional schools.

“The fair provides Memorial students and alumni with a wonderful opportunity to explore career and employment prospects as well as future academic options,” she said.

For students and alumni seeking the opportunity to meet with potential employers and career opportunities, Dan Dillon, employer development co-ordinator, says the fair is “the place to be.”

“The Career and Graduate School Fair creates excellent opportunities for our students, new graduates and alumni to meet representatives from a wide range of organizations, associations, businesses and professional schools from across the province, country and the globe,” he said.

Admission to the Career and Graduate School Fair is free. Students and alumni are reminded that they’ll be required to show their Memorial ID card at the door.
