SUBJECT: Memorial University hosts discussion on training needed for Canadian Peacekeepers

The Memorial University United Nations Association is co-sponsoring a public discussion next month focused Canada’s peacekeepers.
The event is titled Training Needs for Today’s Peacekeeper: Public Discourse on the Future of Peacekeeping. It will be held Sunday, August 6, from 1:30-5 p.m. in the Inco Innovation Centre, room IIC-2014.
It’s also being sponsored by the St. John’s branch of the United Nations Association in Canada.
The panel discussion will kick off the cross-Canada tour of peacekeeping public dialogues.
The panel will provide a forum to discuss the key issues related to Canada’s role in peacekeeping and future strategies to be explored. This event is being held to celebrate the meetings of the Canadian Peacekeeping Veterans Association and Peace Keeper's Day in this province.
