Cold Ocean and Arctic Science, Technology, and Society, or COASTS, is a university-wide planning and public engagement exercise to build upon Memorial’s world-class strengths in all things cold and wet by building stronger connections with industry, government, and community partners; coordinating like-minded students, faculty, and staff inside the university; and telling Memorial’s many exciting COASTS stories. Rob Greenwood, Executive Director Public Engagement and the Harris Centre will share the story behind the initiative and provide an update on the exciting things that have happened over the past year and a half.

Putting Strategic Thinking to Practice: Roundtable Discussions

Roll up your sleeves and join us for a collaborative session about putting strategic thinking to practice. You’ll be part of groups assigned critical sections of a marketing and communications plan to figure out how to attract undergraduate students to Memorial. At the end of the session, the groups’ work will be combined into one document for review. Expect to learn the right questions to ask and find out what work needs to be completed to answer them.
