The Focus Area comprises a series of courses designed for students who plan to apply for admission to the Bachelor in Education (Primary/Elementary) offered by the Faculty of Education.
In order to have the same priority for course registration as students completing a Major or a Minor, students who want to complete a Focus Area in Geography should declare a Minor using the Change of Academic Program form.
For students commencing a Focus Area in Geography as of September 2005, 18 credit hours in geography courses are required, including:
- 1050: Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Geography
- 2001: Cultural Geography
- 2102: Physical Geography
- 2195: Introduction to Geographic Information Sciences
- 2302: Issues in Economic Geography
- 2425: Natural Resources
