Geography 4150 Environmental Change and Quaternary Geography

Course Description

This course investigates the nature and causes of environmental change during the Quaternary period. Emphasis will be placed on: methods and data sets used in reconstructing Quaternary environments; causes and consequences of climatic changes on long and short time scales; growth and decay of Quaternary ice sheets; changing levels of land and sea. Case studies will focus primarily on the Quaternary record of North America.
