Dr. Rod S. Taylor

My main area of interest is arthropod evolution in the Cambrian: I have previously worked on fossil crustaceans (Permian - Cretaceous) from China as well as Early Cambrian stem-group crustaceans from Canada and Greenland, but am currently focusing on Middle Cambrian Acado-Baltic trilobites.

I am currently employed as Lead Science Interpreter at the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland. My main roles there include public educational programming as well as curriculum-linked programming for K-12 school groups. I am also planning to examine the taxonomy of some of the Middle Cambrian trilobites found on Manuels River, in association with Gregor Austermann and Anne Hildenbrand from the University of Heidelberg.
