Protect yourself and your partner by buying some condoms every Tuesday from 10-2 on the third floor of the UC. Get 8 condoms for $2; an assortment of colors and styles available. Remember: "No Glove...No Love!"
Oasis/Therapy Dogs/Wellness Resource Kiosk-UC 3rd floor-Thursdays 10am-2pm
Need to de-stress? Come visit the Oasis and receive a free snack of pop-corn, have a chat and pet or hug a therapy dog. Visit the Wellness Resource Kiosk/Displays to get information on a variety of health topics, find resources for papers and assignments, and speak to peers!
Terry's CAUSE on Campus-September 19th
Join us as universities across the country take part in Terry's CAUSE on Campus. Inspired by Terry's Marathon of Hope, Memorial University will work towards Terry's dream of a world free of cancer.Long Pond Trail, Splash facility, Lot 16A, Morrissey Road. Registration from 11am to noon, Run from noon-2pm.There will be merchandise sales and a DUNK TANK!
Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Event-September 25th
Come join us for a free mental health screening from 10am to 2pm-UC3rd Floor & UC3018. Meet briefly with a counsellor to see how you're managing your moods and stress this semester and find out where you can go for some additional help on campus. Many community providers will be on site to answer your questions and to provide resources if needed. Free Food & Prizes!
Big Bike on Campus-October 3rd
Come watch the teams or join in on the fun!! The event will begin at 12 p.m. at the Education Building; teams will ride around campus to see who has the most pedal power. It's a $50 registration fee per person to help reduce death and disability for the heart disease and stroke foundation in Newfoundland and Labrador. This event promises to be good exercise and a whole lot of fun. Plus, prizes – including an all-inclusive trip for two – will be given out for fastest teams and top fundraising amounts.
MUNdays Mid-term Resource Fair-October 17th
Failing? Academic problems? Just can't get it together? If so, we can provide you with the people and programs to help you out. The Midterm Resource Fair also brings together many of Memorial’s departments, faculties and schools aiming to provide undergraduate students convenient and timely access to campus resources that support undergraduate students. Drop by UC 3rd floor between 10am-2pm and we'll help you find what is right for you!
MUNdays Health Challenge/Circus-October 22nd
Wonderbolt Circus will perform to inspire us all! Let the spirit of the circus get your energy flowing at the Field House from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and put in a few laps around the track while you take in the magic and the acrobatics. Let's get moving and break our own record for the second year in a row! In 2012, the Memorial University community walked a total of 4,796 laps around the Field House track. We shattered the 2011 record and we want to do it again this year. The male and female with the highest number of laps completed will walk (or run) away with a prize! For inspiration, a variety of classes, activities and demonstrations will also take place.

Small changes = Big differences! Attend our Healthy Lifestyles Group and find out what works for you. Incorporating activity and healthy eating habits into your lifestyle has many positive health benefits. The Wellness Program is offering a free 8 week Healthy Lifestyles group to help you reach your health goals. Sessions begin October 10th, 2013 and are held at the Counselling Centre UC 5002 in a comfortable and private setting. Pre-registration is required-FREE Lunch will be provided! Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshops: Improving
Health: My Way-October 25th to November 29th
This is a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program for individuals with chronic disease, their family members, and caregivers. The program is based on the assumption that individuals with chronic disease share similar symptoms and daily challenges associated with their disease. The free workshops are offered 2 ½ hours once a week for 6 weeks-Friday afternoons 12:00-2:30pm at the University Counselling Centre-UC5002, and each session covers different topics related to better self-management. The goal of the workshop is to give people the skills to better self-manage and to take control of their health.
