TURN OFF LIGHTS = SAVE ENERGY
Energy efficiency helps protect the environment by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that contribute to climate change. The more energy we produce and fuels we burn, the more we release carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and other harmful gases into the atmosphere - gases that add to the global-warming potential.
Turn lights off when they are not in use. This applies to fluorescent as well as incandescent bulbs. If you are out of the room for more than 10 minutes, switching off a fluorescent light will save energy and lamp life. (Switching flurorescent lights on and off repeatedly will reduce lamp life.)*
