This will be the conclusion of Orientation. The student panel will address some of the main concerns new students have when attending Memorial, as well as offer hot refreshments & snacks.

Registering for Orientation is the same as registering for winter semester courses. Search for the course number “ORTN1000” or add the course registration number (CRN) “70281”.
1. Go to www.my.mun.ca
2. Use your MUN Login and Password to access my.mun.ca
3. Click on the "Students" Tab at the top left on the page.
4. Click "Launch Memorial Self-Service" on the left.
5. Once Self Service has launched, click on the 'Student Main Menu' tab.
6. Click the 'Registration' link tab.
7. Click the 'Add/Drop Classes' tab.
8. Scroll to the bottom and enter the CRN 70281 into one of the blank boxes and hit submit.
9. You should now see that ORTN1000 has been added to your schedule.
10. Congrats! You are now registered for Winter Orientation :)

1. What is Orientation, when is it and who can attend?
Memorial University’s New Undergraduate Student Orientation is designed to welcome, inspire and socialize new students to the St. John’s campus while fostering their independence and promoting their scholarly journeys. It’s a fun, interactive and informative event which strives to help students meet new people, find out about Memorial’s many services and become engaged in Memorial’s community. Orientation is open to all new students beginning their first semester at Memorial and takes place on January 5.
2. How do I register for Orientation?
Undergraduate students need to register for Orientation through their Memorial Self-Service account. Students may register for Orientation at the same time as they register for their winter 2015 courses. The Orientation course name is ORTN1000.
3. What should I bring with me to Orientation?
You should consider bringing the following things to orientation:
re-usable water bottle
your student number (9-digit number)
your class schedule (for your personalized campus tour)
government issued photo ID (for you campus card)
some change/money if you wish to purchase MUN clothing or other things at the Bookstore
4. Can I pay my tuition and fees during Orientation?
The cashier's office will be open all day DURING orientation. You can pay with cash, debit or cheque.
5. Can I get my campus card at Orientation?
You will have an opportunity to get your campus card during Orientation on the third floor of the University Centre. You can also drop into ANSWERS (UC3005) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., Monday to Friday, either before or after Orientation to get your card, or pre-order it online. Make sure to bring a piece of government-issued photo ID with you.
6. Will there be alcohol served at Orientation?
There will not be alcohol served at Orientation. Alcohol consumption will not be permitted at any orientation events.
7. Where can I park during Orientation?
We strongly encourage that students are dropped off at orientation or use an alternate form of transport as parking is very limited. Students must use metre parking while attending orientation.
8. Are Orientation events accessible?
At Memorial, we work alongside the Glenn Roy Blundon Centre to make sure our Orientation events are accessible to all participants. For further information about building accessibility, or to self-identify a personal need, please contact the Blundon Centre (firstname.lastname@example.org) to ensure you have the most rewarding experience possible.
9. Can parents attend Orientation?
There are no parent sessions during Winter Orientation. Parents are, however, welcome to attend the welcoming ceremonies and the resource fair.
10. What are my responsibilities as a student at Memorial?
As a Memorial student, you are expected to follow the Student Code of Conduct that is applied to all students across Memorial campuses. You should carefully review the document before arriving at Memorial.
11. How can I opt out of Health and Dental insurance?
As a Memorial student, you must have valid health and dental insurance. However, if you are already covered, you may opt out of Memorial's health and dental insurance. MUNSU(our undergraduate students' union) handles all health and dental insurance inquiries and can be contacted through email at email@example.com or via telephone at 709-864-7633.
12. I'm a Graduate student. Can I attend Orientation events?
Yes, graduate students attend all Orientation events. Winter Orientation is open to undergraduate and graduate students new to Memorial University.
13. Is there an App for Orientation?
Memorial is excited to have a new, awesome App called MUNmobile. Download MUNmobile on your smartphone device to receive a detailed description of orientation events and to build your own personal orientation event schedule!
