Engineering

Engineering Building September 3rd, 2013 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

 September 3, 2013 in the Engineering Building (S.J. Carew) at MUN. Students are asked to arrive at 9:45am in the main lobby where you will be shown to the EN-2006 lecture theatre. Orientation will begin at 10 a.m. and will end at 1:30 p.m. The event will consist of several speakers including the President of
Student Society and the Dean of Engineering. Students will then be broken into groups for tours of discipline homerooms and labs led by faculty and current students. They will provide information on various topics and answer any questions. During the tour students will get to stop at a BBQ to socialize and

Science Science Building Lobby September 3rd, 2013 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM  Everything Science 2013 is the Faculty of Science's way of welcoming incoming undergraduate students to the faculty! The orientation event will include an
introductory session to Science at Memorial, followed by a chance to meet our academic advisors and student society executives who can answer all your
questions about our science programs. You will also get a chance to tour labs, facilities, society rooms and the various help centres that the Faculty of
Science provides. Stay until the end to enjoy delicious pizza and our special liquid nitrogen ice cream! But that’s not all! We will also be handing out
giveaways and holding draws for $50 Memorial University Bookstore gift cards!
Social Work School of Social Work (St. John'sCollege), J-2008 September 3rd 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

This session offers a great opportunity to learn more about the BSW program and to ask questions to a panel comprised of senior students, and social work staff.

 Social Work St. John's College September 3rd 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

 The School of Social Work is pleased to welcome 60 new students to the BSW program on September 3, 2013. Students are asked to arrive at 8:30 am at St. John’s College, where they will be welcomed by senior students.

This event fosters the opportunity to interact with classmates, faculty, and staff. Students will receive a tour and essential information about the BSW program and student services. They will also participate in faculty-led academic discussion groups, and an experiential learning activity. The event also features a panel of students, MUNSU, social workers, and faculty speaking about the program and the profession.

As part of the festivities, students will join with the Dean, faculty, and staff and senior students for a luncheon.

Exchange and Visiting Students C033 (third floor of the Chemistry Building) September 3rd 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

 There will be an information session for all exchange & visiting students held on Tuesday, September 3rd from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in C3033 (third floor of the Chemistry building). All exchange & visiting students are strongly encouraged to attend to learn more about the academic life at Memorial University.
