We’ll be able to show you what we’re up to, as well as provide you with information about campus life. Also, we’ll be posting fun contests to give you a chance to win some free MUN swag! You can visit us on Facebook (MUN Orientation 2014), Twitter (@MUNLeadership), or Instagram (mun_leadership_programs)!
As a tribute to the Living Memorial Commemoration Program, Orientation 2014 is holding a creative contest that is open only to new students! Prizes include $500 tuition vouchers. Take a look at the contest page for details.
If you are an international student, the first thing you should do when you arrive on campus is visit the International Student Advising office (ISA)! They will help you take care of administrative tasks and provide you with the information you need to get settled in. For more information about checking in, please visit the ISA's website.
Before coming to Memorial, you can get your campus card! If you’re not in St. John’s during the summer, you can submit a campus card request online once you've registered for classes, and we can have it waiting for you by the time you get here! You can get all the details at the campus card webpage. If you are in St. John’s this summer, you can pop by the Answers office (located at UC 3005) and we can print you a campus card on the spot – just remember to bring your government issued photo ID!
Before Orientation, you can connect to Memorial's wireless network on your laptop or smartphone! For a step-by-step guide on how to set up wireless, visit Computer & Communications webpage.
After you've stopped by to get your campus card printed, you can buy a locker for 3 consecutive semesters! This can also be done at Answers (UC 3005). Make sure you know your student number and have some form of ID!
After you’ve registered for your classes this semester, you can pay your fees! The deadline to pay fees is always the first day of classes each semester. This can be done online by using a credit card, through your bank, or in person at the Cashier’s Office. The Cashier’s Office is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 4:20 pm. For more information please visit the Cashier’s Office website.
If you’ll be around St. John’s during the summer, you can receive a campus tour BEFORE Orientation starts. The Office of Student Recruitment provides tours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to help you get to know campus better. You can fill out a tour request form online. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to campus before Orientation – we’ll also be providing campus tours on both days of Orientation!
Drop by Answers, located at UC 3005, to visit Rose Anderson and Frankie Slade, the Orientation Coordinators for Fall Orientation 2014! We’ll be in the office every day from 9:00 am – 4:15 pm and would love the chance to meet you!
During your visit to the Answers office, Rose and Frankie would be happy to show you all that the UC has to offer! This would include taking you up to the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors to see the various services the UC has to offer! To request a UC tour you can email the Orientation Coordinators at email@example.com.
