How do I create a landlord account?

  1. Go to www.mun.ca/student/ochClick on 'Post an Ad' under 'For Landlords' on the right hand side of the screen.
    Note: this will open a new window.
  2. Click on 'Register' at the bottom of this window.
  3. Fill our your personal information.
    Note: this is a landlord profile and will be kept for OCH records
    Note: if you DO NOT want your email information automatically shown on our website click NO before you click submit. Phone numbers must be attached to the listing.

How do I log into my landlord account?

  1. Go to www.mun.ca/student/ochClick on 'Post an Ad' under 'For Landlords' on the right hand side of the screen.

  2. Your 'Login ID' is your email address and your 'Password' is the password you created while completing the registration process.
  3. You must have a registered account in order to sign into the landlord menu.
  4. Click 'Login In' after you have filled in your 'Login ID' and 'Password.'

How do I post a listing for the first time?

  1. Go to www.mun.ca/student/och
  2. Click on 'Post an Ad' under 'For Landlords' on the right hand side of the screen.
    Note: this will open a new window.
  3. Your 'Login ID' is your email address and your 'Password' is the password you created while completing the registration process.
    Note: You must have a registered account in order to sign into the landlord menu.
  4. Click 'Login In' after you have filled in your 'Login ID' and 'Password.'
  5. Click on 'Submit Listing' on the left hand side of the page under the 'Landlord Menu.'
  6. Fill in the address of the property, city, and postal code. After this is complete click 'Next.'
    Note: if you do not want the street number publicized with the information, just write Allandale Road instead of 57 Allandale Road.
    Note: this section of the listing is case sensitive, so be sure to capitalize when applicable.
  7. The next step requires information about the property including: house, apartment or room for rent, the number of bedrooms available, the number of bedrooms in total, and number of bathrooms available. After this is complete click 'Next.'
  8. The next step requires information about rent, including: rental cost, what utilities are included (if any), and features included in the apartment. After this is complete click 'Next.'
  9. The next step requires information about the type of tenant you would prefer, including: male or female, mature, no pets, etc. After this is complete, click 'Next.'
  10. The final step is information about the area your property is located in. This is to allow potential tenants to be aware of the facilities that are located within a 10-15 minute walk of your property. After this is complete, click 'Finish.'
  11. As a first time user, your property is now submitted to Off-Campus Housing for approval. When your property is approved, you will receive an email instructing you how to set up a site visit.

Forgot Your Password:

  1. If you have forgotten the password to your 'Landlord Menu' you must generate a new one.
  2. Go to 'Landlord Menu.'
  3. Enter the email you have registered with Off-Campus Housing in the 'Login ID.'
  4. Click 'Retrieve Password.'
  5. A new password will be sent to the email which you entered in 'Login ID.'
    Note: please check your junk mail, as the email may have gone there instead of your inbox.
    Note: do not copy and paste the password, as it will copy a space which is not a part of the password. Please write down the password and manually enter it into the password box on the website.

Changing Your Password:

  1. If you would like to change your password, login into to your landlord menu.
  2. Click on 'Update Profile.'
  3. Scroll to password and re-enter a new password that you will remember.
  4. Click 'Save.'

Reactivating a Listing:

  1. Sign into 'Landlord Menu.'
  2. Click on 'My Properties.'
  3. Click on the address you wish to re-activate.
  4. If you are not making changes:
    Note: Scroll down and click 'Activate this listing.'

Editing a Previously Listed Property:

  1. Sign into 'Landlord Menu.'
  2. Click on 'My Properties.'
  3. Click on the address you wish to re-activate.
  4. Update any necessary information, ie. Date available, rent, utilities.
  5. Scroll down and click 'update.'
    Note: The changes will now need to be approved by the Off-Campus Housing Staff. You will receive an email instructing you to re-activate the listing when an Off-Campus Housing staff member has approved your content.
  6. When the content has been re-approved, follow the steps under 'Reactivating a Listing' to have your property advertised.

Submitting Another Property:

  1. Sign into 'Landlord Menu.'
  2. Click on 'Submit Listing.'
  3. Follow the 5 steps including the information about the new property, as outlined under 'First Time User.'
    Note: A site visit must be completed on the new property.
