Student Group - Create a Group

Once you have checked out MUNSU's lisiting of Clubs, Societies and Resource Centres and still haven't found what you are looking for, this is what you need to do:
  1. Drop by the MUNSU office in the University Centre, Room 2000
  2. Arrange to speak with the Executive Director of Student Life (currently, Brad Russell, studentlife [at] munsu [dot] ca)
  3. There are several forms to fill out. First, a "Ratification / Recognition renewal form" asks for a general outline of the purpose of your group. When you are first starting out, you must attain at least 20 student signatures to submit with this form.
  4. Once submitted, the MUNSU board of directors will vote to "Recognize" your group. (You are welcome and encouraged to come to these meetings, Wednesday, 5 p.m., Council Chambers, UC-2001)
  5. After one semester, your group then has the ability to be "Ratified," which means it has official status and is eligible for select opportunities supported by the union (special grants, start-up funding)
  6. Be sure to submit this form each semester because your ratification funding is dependent on receipt of this form.
