Since we started our journey towards ISO 9001:2008 certification, we have reached many milestones. These have included items such as a standardized process for work order recording, a standardized process for material and parts tracking, and a process for measuring customer satisfaction. These three examples have already shown us where improvements can and have been implemented. We are also seeing where further improvements can be made to enhance the service we deliver.
On October 8th, we conducted our second Internal Audit. We have made changes in the format of the audit, moving to a one-on-one format for the audit interviews, and auditing 8 areas at the same time. This reduced the audit to one day. This new format worked well.
The audit itself, went very well, showing that everyone audited was well prepared. The final Report is finished and has been posted on the link to the right in Related Content.
The company, Quasar, has been slected as our ISO 9001:2008 Registrar. They will be conducting the external audits and certifiying our quality management system. We are in the process of determining a date for our preliminary audit. As more information becomes available, it will be posted.
