Since we started our journey towards ISO 9001:2008 certification, we have reached many milestones. These have included items such as a standardized process for work order recording, a standardized process for material and parts tracking, and a process for measuring customer satisfaction. These three examples have already shown us where improvements can and have been implemented. We are also seeing where further improvements can be made to enhance the service we deliver.
On February 21 and 22, the external auditor was in to perform stage 1 of the registration audit. The main focus of this audit was the documentation of our Quality Management System. This audit highlighted some updates that needed to be implemented to 3 of our required procedures. These updates were implemented, enabling us to move to the stage 2 audit.
Stage 2 audit of the audit was performed from March 11th to the 14th. During these 4 days, the auditor examined the level of compliance to our Quality Management System. The final result of the audit was, we did not have any non-conformance's. The auditor did generate some opportunities for improvement. These are being examined.
As a result of these audits, we have received or registration.
This does mot mark the end of our journey, but is another important milestone that we have reached. From here onward, we must continue to improve all aspects of Technical Services.
