Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Stagg worked for 17 years in New Brunswick, including as corporate counsel for First Canadian Title, an insurance company focused on real estate law, from 2002-2011. Upon returning to Stephenville in March 2014, Mr. Stagg opened the law firm Stagg & Stagg with his father, with whom he still practices today. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the law societies of Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick, and is a notary public in both provinces as well.
Since his return to the province, Mr. Stagg has taken an active role in his community by supporting local businesses and arts, and is the director of the Bay St. George Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Stagg is cross-appointed to the College of the North Atlantic Board of Governors, and since assuming his tenure on the Board of Regents, has served on the Audit Committee.
