PROCEDURE FOR GENERAL RESEARCH POOL ACCOUNT

  

For research contracts and clinical trials, each principal investigator or faculty member is asked to complete the Waive Entitlement to Principal Investigator Fees form, and have the waiver approved by the appropriate Dean or Director and the Grants Officer.

In order for waived entitlements to avoid the attraction of personal income tax, the individual must complete and sign the Waiver of Entitlement Form prior to the commencement of any work. Failure to follow the timing exactly will result in the waived entitlement being cancelled.

In addition, the Researcher will be required to provide the appropriate documentation to the Office of Research to meet requirements for ethics and human investigations, etc.
