PROCEDURE FOR EMPLOYMENT EQUITY APPEALS
Any employee with questions about employment equity and its associated procedures should contact the Employment Equity Officer in the Human Resources Department.
An employee with a grievance about the interpretation or application of the policies and procedures should express their complaint in writing to the Employment Equity Officer.
Following review with the Employment Equity Committee and any university official with expertise on the policy area in question, the Director of Human Resources has the authority to render a decision on the issue.
The President shall have the authority to resolve disputes about the interpretation or application of the employment equity policies and procedures.
Appeals of the President's decision lie with the Board of Regents.
