Policy and Procedures at Memorial

The policy and procedures documents stored in the central repository on this site constitute the only official version of non-academic, university-wide, policies and procedures. Other policies can be found in the University Calendar or various collective agreements.

Policies and their related procedures exist to protect both you and the University. Policies set an expectation of behaviour throughout the University and, as such, members of the University community have an obligation to comply with University policy. Their related procedures provide the "how to" on carrying out those expectations.

The Policy and Procedure Frameworks govern the process for the development, approval, and administration of non-academic policies and procedures. Supplementing these, the Framework Toolkit offers a quick reference guide to help navigate through the development process. It provides the resources necessary to elevate a concept through the appropiate channels.

Website supports new Information Management Policy

Information Management and Protection (IM&P) has launched its new website to provide resources and tools to help other Memorial University units follow best practices in managing and protecting their information. The IM&P website supports the university’s new Information Management Policy, which was approved by the Board of Regents July 7 and went into effect immediately. The policy provides direction on the management and protection of university records.
