Tuesday, September 4th
9:00 am – 4:30 pm - Orientation Day Activities (see attached schedule)
4:30 pm - BBQ on the Patio

Wednesday, September 5th – 1st day of classes!
5:00 pm - Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) Welcoming Session
Location: Lecture Theatre A
Thursday, September 6th
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm - Bowling Night
Location: Holiday Lanes, 27 Elizabeth Ave (across the street from Canadian Tire)
Come out and enjoy a classic evening of Glow Bowling! Wear all the white or neon you can find, and light up the lanes with pharmacy spirit. Snacks will be provided, and faculty and staff are welcome. This is a really popular event for Orientation Week, so it’s one you definitely don’t want to miss!
Friday, September 7th
6:30 pm – 10:00 pm - Memorial University Pharmacy Society Mixer
Location: Student Lounge, HSC
Last call for drinks at 9:30 pm
Let loose at your first pharmacy mixer in the Student Lounge. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available; must be legal age to buy alcohol. Please bring ID. Faculty and staff are welcome. Mixer theme will be announced during the first few days of classes.
Saturday, September 8th
7:00 pm – 11:00 pm - Beach Party
Location: Middle Cove Beach OR Topsail Beach (will be confirmed closer to date)
A bus will leave from the School of Pharmacy and head to the beach for a bonfire! Marshmallows and wieners will be provided and students over the age of 19 can bring their own alcohol if they choose. This is a student only event and friends are welcome to attend! The bus will head back to the school at 11:00 pm. Feel free to drive if you like!
Sunday, September 9th
2:00 pm - The Bananarama Scavenger Hunt
Location: Starts outside the Professional Practice Lab
This is like no scavenger hunt you’ve ever done before. Meet us outside of the professional practice lab at the school of pharmacy and collect your team and everything you’ll need, then set off around the city to complete some Banantastic Tasks!! Faculty and Staff are welcome.
Monday, September 10th
12:00 pm - Scotia Bank Lunch and Learn
Location: H2908 (Nursing School, Health Science Center)
8:30 pm – 10:30 pm - Dodge Ball
Location: St. Andrews Elementary School, University Avenue
If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball. Come and enjoy this epic sporting event that is respected by all pharmacy students, both newbies and old-timers alike. Just remember the five D's of Dodge Ball: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge.
Tuesday, September 11th
7:00 pm - Trivia Night
Location: HSC Main Auditorium
You know those useless little facts that never seem to come in handy, now is the time to use them! Show off your knowledge of sports, literature, music, celebrity gossip, movies and so much more - and make some friends along the way.
Wednesday, September 12th
7:00 pm - P-DAY!
Location: St. John’s Lions Club on Newtown Road (behind the Remax building)
A pharmacy tradition, P-Day is the best party of the year!! In celebration of 2012, this year it’ll be better than ever. We have lots of fun events planned, and friendly competition too. For those of you not from ‘The Rock’, be prepared to get screeched in! Due to limited capacity, this is a pharmacy student only event, for those of legal age (19+). This event is BYOB!
Thursday, September 13th
7:00 pm - Scholarship and Awards Night
Location: HSC Main Auditorium
Although not officially part of Orientation Week, Awards Night is held at this time every year to recognize student achievement. It is followed by the Class of 2016 class picture taken on the steps of the Main Auditorium. Business attire is required. All students are expected to attend. Wine and Cheese reception to follow in the foyer.
