Research description

My primary area of interest is in pharmacy practice, expanding the role of the pharmacists in Newfoundland and Labrador, medication use management/safety and also antimicrobial stewardship.

I am currently in the process of assisting in the implementation of an antimicrobial stewardship program at Eastern Health, in St. John's, NL.

I also have a strong interest in curriculum development and assessment.

I have had numerous practice sites over the years (medicine, surgery, adult critical care, neonatal critical care, ambulatory care and infectious disease) and am currently affiliated with the Cystic Fibrosis Program of Eastern Health (both adult and pediatric).

I am cross-appointed to the Department of Medicine (Respirology) and the Department of Pharmacy at Eastern Health.

My teaching responsibilities primarily include infectious disease, gastrointestinal and respirology pharmacotherapy.
