Dr. Gwynne Dyer is a Memorial alumnus and internationally renowned freelance journalist, columnist, broadcaster and lecturer in the area of international affairs. His address, The Trump Era: Surviving the Populist Wave, will explore how populist governments worldwide and a rapidly changing global economy are rushing to collide head-on.

This annual lecture is made possible through a generous donation from the late renowned economist Dr. John Kenneth Galbraith. It brings to Memorial University outstanding figures whose work reflects their commitment to excellence in scholarship and public affairs. This lecture is an initiative of the Office of the President, the Harris Centre and Alumni Affairs.
