M10XF TA/JI Certification Standards
Level I Teaching Assistant Certification
- Completion of the 80-hour M10XF TA
Training program
-
- attend all group training sessions
- attend all individualized training sessions (to work on
personal program)
- attend all scheduled test centres
- Completion of M102F personal program
- Demonstrate an adequate level of responsibility and
reliability

- be punctual for all sessions and test centres
- contact the MLC if going to be late or absent for a training
session or test centre (must have an acceptable excuse)
- Receive a satisfactory evaluation based on the trainee's
learning agreement
Level II Teaching Assistant Certification
- Have met the requirements for a level I
TA certificate
- Completion of 80 hours as a
TA

- must include all M10XF classroom and test centre
responsibilities (as stated in TA's learning agreement)
- Completion of M103F personal program
- Demonstrate an adequate level of responsibility and
reliability

- be punctual for class, test centres, and time scheduled to work
on personal program (if applicable)
- contact the MLC if going to be late or absent for class, a test
centre, or time scheduled to work on personal program (must have an
acceptable excuse)
- Receive a satisfactory evaluation based on the TA's learning
agreement and performance evaluation
Level III Teaching Assistant Certification
- Have met the requirements for a level II
TA certificate
- Completion of an additional 80 hours as a
TA

- must include all M10XF classroom and test centre
responsibilities (as stated in TA's learning agreement)
- Completion of M104F personal program
- Demonstrate an adequate level of responsibility and
reliability

- Receive a satisfactory evaluation based on the TA's learning

Junior Instructor Certification
- Have met the requirements for a level III
TA certificate
- Completion of the 20-hour JI training
program
- Completion of the 130-hour JI mentoring
program
- Completion of 80 hours as a TA/JI (beyond
the mentoring program)
- Completion of at least Module 1 of the
M1090 program
- Demonstrate an adequate level of responsibility and
reliability

- be punctual for class, test centres, time scheduled to work on
personal program (if applicable) and time scheduled to meet with
mentoring instructor
- contact the MLC if going to be late or absent for class, a test
centre, time scheduled to work on personal program or time
scheduled to meet with mentoring instructor (must have an

- Receive a satisfactory evaluation based on the TA's/JI's
learning agreement and performance evaluation
