Mission of LEAP |
|
To allow students to experience first-hand, a day in the life of a Memorial student, meet with peers from around Newfoundland and Labrador who have similar interests, explore various leadership programs that are available to them at Memorial, be introduced to the support services, get a sense of the benefits of continued involvement in the post secondary environment, and get familiar with Memorial's St. John's Campus. |

Who can take part? |
|
LEAP at Memorial is open to Level III students who have shown leadership ability through their high school and community involvement. Applicants must be Level III students, and should be enthusiastic, creative young people that intend on attending Memorial University of Newfoundland. Registration and LEAP program information are available each year from guidance counsellors. |

Why should you attend this event? |
|
The objective of LEAP is to ease the transition from high school to university by letting participants know what to expect, where to go, and how to get involved in campus life, while having fun and meeting new people. The program is designed to develop leadership skills. LEAP at Memorial provides a valuable experience to high school participants. High school students get to:

Horizons Students |
|
Horizons Students in Level III (grade 12) are automatically accepted into LEAP free of charge. They most fill out their registration package and have it sent in by the October 5th to have their spot reserved. |

Information Package |
|
Information for students attending. Each student should receive a Registration Package, there is a Horizons Package for Horizons Students, however both include the same registration package. |
