April 15-28: Nathaniel prepared an Expression of Interest proposal for a pan-northern research team to join the CIHR-Transformational Research in Adolescent Mental Health (TRAM) Network. Nathaniel put the final touches on his Health Research Ethics Authority research proposal and application.
April 15: Karen registered for Education 6803, Research in Post-Secondary Education, which will take place over the Spring semester.
April 15: Karen ordered a LI shirt for both Merline and Marie, since they were the only employees who had not received one to date.
April 17: Martha attended a Research Council meeting and met with Gardiner Centre staff about Master’s Certificate in Project Management.
April 17 and 18: Labrador Institute staff meeting took place at the Labrador Friendship Center in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. It took place over 1 ½ days with various presenters taking part.
April 22: Martha attended an IBSW steering committee meeting.

April 23: Martha attended a meeting for the IBSW evaluation.
April 24: Merline participated in a WHMIS course organized by the College of the North Atlantic.
April 24: Keith, Doreen, Beatrice and Martha met to discuss the planning of the upcoming public presentations for the Faculty of Arts position.
April 24: Marie Clément submitted a grant proposal entitled” Determining river of origin of Atlantic salmon in Lake Melville (Labrador) to the Ignite R&D program.
April 24: Martha and Nathaniel met to help plan the IBSW graduation.
April 25: Keith met with staff from Memorial’s Aboriginal Resource Offices in St. John’s, Valeri Pilgrim, and at Grenfell, Jane Anderson, and gave them a tour of LI facilities in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and provided a short briefing on current and future activities.
April 25: Keith met with Joinal, Merline, Marie and Scott to discuss the acquisition of basic and analytical equipment for the North West River Research Station.
April 25: Marie Clément presented her research program to the Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association Annual Meeting in Happy Valley–Goose Bay.
April 25: Keith, Joinal, Merline, Marie and Scott met with Shelley Broomfield, Labour Market Development Officer, to discuss AES funding programs.
April 26: Merline participated in the Emergency First Aid training organized by the College of the North Atlantic.
April 26: Karen finalized the Spring UNISA exam schedule that will start on May 7 in Labrador West.
April 28: Keith attended a teleconference with the Office of the Provost & Vice-President (Academic) to discuss the University of the Arctic.
