Overview 

Memorial has contracted FUEL Mobile to provide mobility management services to mobile users on the St. John’s and Grenfell campuses. FUEL Mobile specializes in procurement, reporting and support services for mobile devices. Devices in scope include: mobile phones, smart phones, sim cards, turbo sticks, and pagers.

Over the past decade, the number of employees has grown by over 20 per cent and demand for mobility services on campus has increased substantially. There are now approximately 1000 mobility users on campus.

As the number of users has increased, so have the types of services and features being requested. Over time, more faculty and staff are expected to have further uses for mobility devices. iPads and smart phones are now being used to manage inventory, email, stream presentations, some use fingerprint technology, etc. Phones are no longer “just” phones.
